INSULTING PRESIDENT JONATHAN ON SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOW A CRIME

You all social media critics and bully, The Presidency has warned you all that Henceforth, anyone who describes President Goodluck Jonathan with ridiculous and unprintable names such as “clueless” and “drunkard” will not be spared. Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, said his office would take it as a responsibility to correct the trend. Okupe threatened to “forcefully train” those whose parents failed to take out time to train while growing up with a view to correcting the alleged decay. Speaking on popular Microblogging site, Twitter , Doyin Okupe argued that although he is a grandfather, but the rudeness directed towards President Goodluck Jonathan isn’t limited/restricted to any age group. Doyin further stated that being a social media critic does not give one the right to insult the president and mock his character. “Being a critic is no licence to insult and abuse government officials; most especially the President of the nation.” he said Criticism is different. “But when you say the President is a drunkard and so forth, you no longer deserve any respect.
